ANNOUNCEMENT

The heartbreaking decision to cancel the 150th Bendigo Easter Fair
planned for 2020 was made on Friday, 13 March 2020.

The decision was made by the City of Greater Bendigo in consultation with the Society and other stakeholders following the recommendation from Australia’s Chief Medical Officer, the Prime Minister and the Victorian Premier, that all non-essential mass gatherings over 500 people should be cancelled from Monday, 16 March 16 to limit the spread of COVID 19 (Corona Virus).

The City and the Easter Fair Society have agreed to ‘postpone’ the celebration of the 150th Easter Fair until next year and are committed to an even bigger and better event in 2021.

Bendigo Easter Fair Society

Established in 1871, to support local charities, the BEFS is custodian of the Bendigo Easter Fair and continues to support the City of Greater Bendigo’s largest festival, which injects millions of dollars into the local economy every year.

The event currently run over 3 days involves Parades, Carnival Rides Fireworks and general entertainment with a focus on families, it also facilitates the inclusion of a multitude of additional events & exhibitions run independently by local community and Service Groups.
